Better

Who doesn’t love “better”? A better grade, a better seat, a better car, a better job, a better house, better clothes.

When it comes to our marriages we say things like, “It’s ok”, “it’s good”, or, “it stinks”. If we had a really good week we might say, “It couldn’t be better!” But in reality it could be better, couldn’t it?

Tammy and I have been best friends since high school. We have a really good marriage. The danger is that we can get comfortable and settle for “good enough”.

No matter where you are in your marriage, it could be better. One of the most practical ways to grow your marriage is to ask yourself this question, “How can I let it get better than this?” How can I let my conversation with my mate get better than this? How can I let sexual intimacy with my spouse get better than this? How can I let our date nights get better than this?

If you take the time to explore these questions and implement them I guarantee you will have a “better” marriage. Even better is to sit down and have a dialogue with your mate about these questions. After all, who doesn’t want “better” in their marriage.
