Better to focus on the end of life.

I’m surrounded by hardworking hustler’s. Some have side hustles and some are full steam ahead, “living the Dream”, or “killing it”.

Some are chasing the toys, convincing themselves that they either need them, or deserve them. Others are busy polishing and enhancing their image or “brand” on social media, determined to assure themselves or others that life is good.
.
We can spend so much of our life dancing around what’s important, until a crisis stops us in our tracks, and we slow down to evaluate where we are.

This week I’ve been spending all my free time in my Mom’s bedroom, as she is in the midst of leaving this life. I’m sure many of you have been there, or will be.
.
We talk, she sleeps, and I’m mesmerized by her beauty. She has lived and loved well. These aren’t simply my words, but the words of countless people who know her. She truly transformed her little corner of the world.
.
These words of Solomon, have been ringing in my ears. Looking at my Mom laying there, pondering my own life, makes my mind shift to what is truly important. This is making me a better man!
