In 2019, we will be more connected as a race than ever before and yet we will feel more isolated and lonely than ever.

We’ve traded texting for talking, Facebook live for face to face encounters. We prefer drive-thru over dining in and virtual church over gathering together.

What is desperately needed is to gaze into the eyes of our neighbors as our ears listen to the story their heart is telling. We’ve forgotten how to be empathetic...to feel what they are dealing with and offering hope, by simply loving well.

Loving well isn’t hard it just requires a shift in focus...from yourself to others. To seek to be a refreshment and oasis of real, flesh and blood, eyeball to eyeball, skin to skin concern for the wellbeing of those whose path you cross, or journey along with.
